I know some of the cheaper inverters can be quite unclean with electrical spikes etc. before I plug my £900 bass amplifier into it has anyone had any problems with it damaging anything?

Make sure you purchase a Pure Sinewave inverter, generally the cheaper they are the worse they are.

Victron Phoenix is a good pure sinewave inverter
