A broken reading light - a warranty claim?

We have broken our upstairs reading light last night, very disappointing... It is obviously a faulty design, not capable to withstand a normal use. However, our Cali is 8 months old, so do you think is it justified to make a warranty claim?

Any other suggestions?

Thanks,
Bostjan

Yes that shouldn't happen. You can get it replaced under warranty :thumb

We've had a couple of these done under warranty. Should be a while you wait job as well :thumb Easy enough

Yea I also had mine replaced under warranty. A known fault.

Yes.

Mine was replaced.

I took a very dim view of it breaking

I can't understand why VW would put a fixed light on the Cali SE and a 12v cigarette socket and removable one on the Beach. The second option is much better as you can also use it to charge phones, iPods etc and the 12v lamp can be used in the dash socket as well.

In fact I'm thinking of buying a second lamp to use in my Yeti for map reading and spare for the Cali (yep I'm a Luddite and still like a map!)http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00BJF9ND0/?tag=eliteelect-21

Although the first review is only 1 star, I suspect he/she hasn't removed the collar which you need to do to ensure it fits.
