I thought that I’d share my soapbox. It’s basically the shoebox idea next to the sliding door, but with a couple of tweaks. On the continent we’re always needing to take soap, toilet roll etc to the facilities and need it by the door. Or, we need to apply sun lotion, handgel etc., basically everything that you can see in the picture as we step out. We can get 4 standard toilet rolls in there along with everything else that you can see.
It’s plywood held together with pins and glue and then painted. Strips of Velcro keep it in place. The tiny black boxes are plastic boxes that used to house old business cards. I just covered them with some wallpaper and stuck them down with some blue tack.
Unfortunately, I don’t have plans to share. I just used cardboard templates and a hideous amount of time. If I ever sold the van, I’d have to keep the soap box, because by the man hour it would be worth a lot more!
