Hi
When parked up and relaxing in our GC680……
With the ignition key engaged and rotated to position 1 - the accessory position
The radio and multimedia are active. And in that position the ignition is off.
The problem is that it times out after approx 15 minutes.
To continue listening the key has to be turned off and turned back to position 1.
Tricky with the drivers seat rotated, or when sat outside.

Do any of you know if this ‘time out’ period can be extended?
If so how is it done

Many thanks

You don’t need the key in to listen to the radio, just turn it on. It still times out, on mine it’s about 20-25 mins.

Hi Razor Quest
Thank you for your comment and feedback.
Our van does need the key ( in position 1 )
Your van manages with the radio on off alone.
But the ‘timing out ‘ is the same in both cases.

So the real question here is can we adjust the ‘ timing out’ and if so how ?
Thanks Paul

It's probably not adjustable as it is designed that way to protect the vehicle starter battery. You would be safer getting a battery operated radio or plugging into a rear socket and use your leisure battery.

Likelihood is No.
It is hard coded into the vehicle BCM to protect the Engine Battery as modern Infotainment Systems use a lot of power.
No one has been able to do it on the Transporter based California to my knowledge.
