Advice on intermittent fault with side door

Hi. Advice please! We seem to have an intermittent fault on the side door of our 2018 T6 California Ocean. Sometimes it begins to close (when either the key or internal handle is used) but when it gets circa halfway it springs back open again. Just wondering if anyone had experienced the same problem and if so, advice on a possible solution. TIA.

If it is a power closing door, I think they have a sensor to stop it if they feel resistance. The door might need lubrication or adjustment.
