Any revolutionary 12v kettles out there?!

This thread has turned into pure comedy. Who needs sitcoms when you can have VW California owners debating boiling electric kettles?!

Genius

Has anyone considered foraging for sticks and building a small fire in the sink whilst driving to boil a kettle on? This would save both gas and electricity
You are being silly now, everyone knows foraging for sticks can be dangerous.

Catch 22 - I’d need a cup of tea to prepare me for foraging for the sticks to build a fire in the sink to boil the kettle on

Ditch the gas bottle and store some sticks in the gas locker instead?

Have you considered a jet boil flash?
we have one and it’s pretty quick, and a good gadget.
Same, great bit of kit, nearly everyone in the British army uses one

FWIW we use a Trangia 0.9 litre aluminium kettle. You can either use it on the Cali burners or outside in the Trangia windshield set up. Fantastic bit of kit and used with the gas burner conversion it’s a very quick boil. Must be about 40 yrs old now and still sold today.

What's the point of these things? Just boil a kettle before you leave home, & fill up a flask. Quicker/easier/safer/cheaper.
1.5 litre Thermos stainless steel flasks keep the water really hot for 24hrs. Great for hot water when you arrive, but also worth carrying one to keep topped up with any left over boiling water however you boil it.
We have 2. One starts off with hubby’s tea for travelling, the other with water boiled at home.
