Anyone 'done' Eastern Europe?

We’re currently in Estonia, working the same trip over a couple of months but anti-clockwise, having come via Germany and Poland. We head over to Helsinki from Tallinn in a week. Ferry booked online, appeared cheaper (abt 90 euros) via directferries than the individual ferry companies. There are handy centrally situated campsites in all the capital cities such as Vilnius, Riga and Tallinn, although they are maybe part of a marina or in a dock area and are glorified aires but with good ‘portacabin’ style facilities. If you can’t walk/cycle to the centres, then there will be buses/trams nearby. ACSI app is helpful but campsites offer maps and brochures documenting all the countries’s campsites. We did a ‘naughty ‘ thing which was to look online in advance at C&CClubs organised tour itinerary for their own motor home trips, which gave us a heads up on cultural/historical sites as well as routes and campsites. Oh, and we also saw a Chinese motor home in Latvia. Part of a group of them travelling independently around Europe. Good luck with your trip.

We met a Chinese couple in a pop top conversion in Nordkapp. They had driven from Shanghai over 3 months. They were just as fascinated by Ben and Jack aged 3 & 2 cycling around Nordkapp as I was about their trailblazing transcontinental journey.

Someone posted about having enough gas for Eastern Europe. Just remembered, CampingGaz 907 refills can be exchanged in Prague, from Bauhaus superstore (sort of German B&Q). Only place in Eastern Europe I know of.
