Are vans being searched/checked for food at Eurotunnel before entering France?

Just got back after 2 weeks, was seeing from about 1.9 euro to 2.2 euro a litre.

No checks on Eurotunnel yesterday. Diesel on the motorway is 2.24 to 2.4 euros a litre.

Not checked this morning. But, a panel van conversion was pulled over to one side and its entire contents tipped out. I have no idea why or what was being checked.

Called at Costco Thurrock on the way down yesterday £1.877. Mad busy.
