Has anyone had to adjust the rear arm on there awning so they can fit the Thule G2 Rain Guard

I’ve previously had to move both arms to fit the G3 safari room. The important thing is to move both ends of the arm by exactly the same amount. If you don’t the awning won’t retract fully at one end.

The other thing to note is that the bolts at each end of the arms don’t screw into the casing, but just press against some shims that wedge the arms in place. If you undo the bolts too far & move the arm too quickly it’s possible for the shims to fall out.

Slacken the bolts carefully and move the arms slowly & you should’ve fine.
 
Many thanks I would have made the mistake of just moving the rear arm.
 
You can move just the rear arm, what I meant was move both ends of the rear arm by exactly the same amount. You need to keep it at right angles to van when fully extended.
