Left of centre head on and head will move forward and to Right and handle propelled forward and possibly deflected Left by seat side airbag.
But I won't be trying it out.

I found it tucks in nicely at the front of the roof hatch, just put it under the material and forget about it. That was my beach storage solution.

Awning crank stowage

There are clips in the drawer under the rear seat and it fits in them. They should have been fitted from new if it came with the awning. The handle folds at right angles and it fits around the drawer with 3 clips to click into.

photo of it at the front of the opening, albeit with the roof up, but it tucks in here nicely and never rattled. Took a while to work out how to include the link but it works.
