...thinking it might be ideal for my roof bed, great if the bellows get wet, and great if my 6 year old gets wet!!

They do a small double which might just work.. hopefully!

Not sure if it would meet your needs but we have these for our 2 Yr old and we use it to cover the mattress in the boot where he sleeps - perfect.
