Now, there's nothing wrong with US English, it's just different, partly because exported regional dialects and spellings sometimes survived and developed over there but not in Britain, and partly because, over hundreds of years, things change anyway. However, as the Grand California is not currently available across the pond, I think we can all agree it has a tap and not a faucet!

Hmm I hope I never meet Steve in a pub because he'll probably talk non stop about his extensive beer mat collection or something similar
Going back to the faucet I haven't had chance to check but I would imagine that it will be the usual super awkward threaded stud and bolt fitting. For which you will need a plumbers box spanner set see attached:
The best of luck!!

You did that to annoy me .......... it's a tap!
Haha yes of course - no offence intended.
Keep counting your beer mats

You say you have a Grand California 600. It should be under warranty ? No ?
Hmm I wouldn't let an untrained van mechanic anywhere near my nice clean white shower room..it will likely end in tears.

Yes, it is under warranty, and I will have no other option than to take it to the Volkswagen service ...

I have already been this afternoon and they have told me that they will try to solve it without having to disassemble the entire bathroom furniture.
I'll tell you how everything is resolved.

This post starts in English, receives responses in English, and suddenly someone starts to divert the conversation to another language. From there, most of the community can no longer understand, advise, or learn. My first language is not English, but as this site is basically English, I force myself not to converse in another language. Nothing prevents you from continuing in Spanish, which is a very beautiful language, but in this way you place yourself on the margins of this community, and you prevent the majority from benefiting from this information.

You are absolutely right Wesel, when you move with a language that is not yours, it is always very important to understand everything 100%. When someone speaks to you in your language it is always a pleasure, but I understand what you are saying and will continue to use Google Translate

We said that the bathroom faucet had loosened. To do this, they have to disassemble the upper part No. 20, to be able to tighten the nut. Yesterday I picked up the GCali600 from VW service and they told me it turned out fine.
In any case, when we use it, do it gently and gently.

Good afternoon,

One of the problems of my GC 600 was that water leaked into the cupboard (30?). That happened soon after we took over the van.

The VW dealer said that the tap leakes and must be replaced (?). It took about 1 1/2 weeks to get the replacement tap from Germany.

But I have to say the VW dealer did a good job with the replacement. For me it is not noticeable that some work was done in the wetroom and most important, there is no water leaking into the cupboard anymore. Also letting them do the work does not interfere with the warranty. If something is going wrong again, they have to fix it.

Regards,
Eberhard

I agree with Eberhard, my wet room tap leaked and the VW Commercial Van Center did a great job. The whole top of the sink unit needs to be removed to access the nut to the tap you cannot reach it any other way. They replaced the tap and refitted the top of the sink and a specialist company came in to reseal the sink. A fantastic job was done and it looked the same as when I took it in. Please give the VW Van Centres credit they do a fantastic job it is unfair to say the people working on our Grand California’s don’t do a good job. There might be some very few occasions that they don’t meet the standards I have yet to experience this though.
