Berghaus Owners - Look In .....

There are only 80 with the colour breakdown of 32 Reflex Silver, 32 Olympian Blue and 16 Natural Grey. From reading the various posts it would seem we have quite a strong contingent of Natural Grey owners lurking around so I thought it would be nice to see how many Berghaus owners we have as members and the spread of colours of the vans.

Please post below your colour and if you don't mind the last 5 digits of chassis number (This will indicate build date) and I will update the list in this first post.

If you want to make it more interesting we could add supplying dealers too??

A good response so far, thanks. :thumb

Not much interest in supplying the VIN details. The VIN can be read from the panel on the dashboard (viewed from the outside through the windscreen on the passenger side) or on the V5 document. I only want the last 5 digits so that we can get an idea of the build sequence.

There is no great security risk with this, after all the VIN can be read by anyone who cares to look through your windscreen as they walk past or can be easily retrieved from the registration number.

My VIN number is 15554

I didn't exclude it from my original post because of any worries about security it was because I posted my reply when i was at work and didn't have the info at hand at the time.

I think it's telling us that the vans were not all built at the same time. Actually with quite a widespread range of dates by the looks of it.

I know mine rolled off the line August last year.

Had always assumed they did a batch all at the same time.

Interesting indeed.

I would have thought it was a batch Of cali's run at the same time ,due to the fact it's 3 popular colours and identical spec with the berghaus extras added in the uk ... this would show orders where slow and they just kept production running for stock ,but this may not be the case , so it is slightly strange with all the vin no's being varied

It probably makes sense to stagger them a bit. I guess whoever added the extra bit wouldn't have wanted 80 of the buggers turning up on a Monday morning...

I can see a couple of possibilities -

1. The vans are built as vans and drawn from 'stock' to make a Cali when required.

2. The Cali's were indeed staggered through the Cali factory so as not to interfere with customer orders.
