Osram do a nice plug in LED reading light which can be purchased for £20 - beware some on line retailers selling for 350% higher than this!
I've got the hard wired version as a replacement for the upstairs bed light. It fits the existing screw holes but is not as bright.OSRAM Onyx Copilot M-7, Flexible LED Light for car interior, warm white, connected via the cigarette lighter, folding box (1 piece)

Me too. I’ve fitted it with the arm facing forward so it doesn’t get ‘chopped off’ by the roof bed coming down. Tucks in the space above the shutter when you close the roof or along the side ‘shelf’ when its upI've got the hard wired version as a replacement for the upstairs bed light. Where did you find the suitable socket in the end?I've got the 12V socket version installed as replacement for broken original. Took a ridiculous amount of research to find a 12V socket that would fit in the location without damaging the van (and offers an extra socket for phone charging upstairs!).
Works well but a little dim.
