We have purchased 7 new Californias over the few years and within a day or two we find at least two black rubber things in the boot, We have no idea what they are or where they come from as they fall out before we get to see where they actually should be. Does anybody know?

Whilst talking about things that regularly fall off or become unclipped does anybody not have the grey square thing also below fall off all the time?

think from forum posts they come off the rear bed shelf but again only ever seen them on the floor.

That’s correct. If you move the shelf around without edging the bench forward you are likely to displace them. They are to give space for the rear seat belts which can snag if they are missing. Happened on mine and I got mine back in which is fun.

Yes to both on our previous two vans, I just gave up and stored them in the cupboard. They are still in place on the current van.

Both my sons and my wife have fallen from the upper berth (at different times).

Follow my blog: www.au-revoir.eu
Do they weigh more than 150kg? ;)

This posts come up every few weeks/months , then everyone knows . After a while the post gets lost /older and an other comes up....
I had both parts coming off , propperly fixed the rubbers on the metal shelf(look up the post with pictures i made) and never have a issue with it.

The plastic cap broke on mine and trown it in the garage in a box , if i'm correct not even a week ago some asked thesame Q .

If i where you i'd go to your dealer , put the two parts on the counter and ask them where they are suppose to be .
Bet they don't have a clue :D

Yes. That useless grey thing falls out every time i remove the rear shelf. The other thing that bugs me is the awning handle. It never stays put in the drawer clips.

Given up trying to fix the plastic fitting for the rear shelf. The back of the seat is another one. Catch it on the table and bam seven hundred quid to get a new one fitted then you forget to double check one time and bam it gets caught on the fold away table again.

Don’t quite follow that, how does it catch on the table?

I have the two rubber things from the rear shelf. Not having them in place doesn't seem to make any difference to anything but I've popped them in the bottom of the wardrobe cos I know that if I throw them away something will start rattling!
