Well you have confirmation. What have you orderedJust been given my build week of 18 having ordered 09/11. Don’t know whether to be pleased or pissed. I haven’t seen many other posts about 2021 build weeks.
Great colour and you have a build week, I ordered last week in November and still no conformation. An Ascott grey Coast 150.

Is your date confirmed or provisional please?Just been given my build week of 18 having ordered 09/11. Don’t know whether to be pleased or pissed. I haven’t seen many other posts about 2021 build weeks.
Are you swapping your Grand Mr B?Great colour and you have a build week, I ordered last week in November and still no conformation.
Hi Karlos yes and no!Are you swapping your Grand Mr B?
After reading this, thought I would ping them an online chat and we have been pushed back considerably too. Ordered 30th Nov - last online chat said provisional build date was 22nd March. Today they say week 22 (31st May). So looks like we have been pushed back 10 weeks (150 Coast). Not the news I was looking for today. We've just been told that our provisional build week 6 is a provisional build week 17! Not impressed when we ordered in October and was assured 12-14 weeks. That means our build wont even start until 26 weeks after order!
Also a Coast btw
Just did the same, we're now week 21.Oh wow. I guess that

Gosh that's a heck of delay ! We ordered a Coast the end of Sept and the van is in build now, we aren't in a hurry but wanted it before Easter. I'd be a bit peeved with that date but I guess nothing can be done :-/We've just been told that our provisional build week 6 is a provisional build week 17! Good thanks, hoping to be back in a Cali within 18 months if the market and camping in the UK and Europe returns to anything like normal.Hi Karlos yes and no!
Decided as I’m 5ft .6” I need the longer bed in the 680. So yes ordered the 680. But seriously really love the GC and after living with it and our long trips planned look more likely think we require a little more easily accessible storage this side of the boot/garage doors.
Really don’t think you can beat the drivability of the GC, have looked and driven the Ducato/Merc based camper vans and the GC IMO wins hands down they are all compromises.
How are you doing anyway?
I reckon you are about in the money with your thinking there. Our dealer gave an estimated delivery date of 31st March, which we were fine with, then the 1st online chat suggested build was around that time, so delivery might have been end of April. Assuming that we need to add 6 weeks for build & ship, so I reckon ours could now not be with us until mid July !My instinct is that UK orders were initially prioritised due to the potential Brexit duty issues (they wanted to avoid cancelled orders). Now there's a deal in place and no impact on duty, there's no need to prioritise UK orders over the rest of Europe so we have all slipped back.
But this is total speculation. VW couldn't give me any reason why
That is some good news.I ordered a Beach mid November and have just been given a confirmed build week 4!
Seems there’s no rhyme or reason. Pleased for you nice oneI ordered a Beach mid November and have just been given a confirmed build week 4!
I think if you speak to your dealer there’s a chance they’ll give you your deposit back to keep you happy, in the knowledge when your van lands they will sell it easily for additional profitHypothetically speaking of course...............how far does the "estimated delivery date" have to slip before you get to tear the contract up, ( and get a refund on the deposit of course) to go look for a demonstrator that is available now elsewhere? #askingforafriend
Just me being grumpy (And over reacting) to the news. I knew we were in for a wait, but was hoping for 3 months + delivery, so now we are looking at 6 months + delivery, I am having itchy feet. Spent 18 months pontificating the decision, so I haven't helped the situation at all here I know.I think if you speak to your dealer there’s a chance they’ll give you your deposit back to keep you happy, in the knowledge when your van lands they will sell it easily for additional profit
