We're considering an Ascot Grey California and wondering what people with light-coloured vans have done in terms of bumper protectors. I imagine the big PVC black one (which we have on our current Mojave Beige one) might stand out too much?
I'm also considering a B pillar wrap to 'bring together' the front and rear windows - has anyone done this on an Ascot Grey?
Grateful for some advice, thanks all!

You can get the decals which come as part of the sports package to ‘bring together the windows’ if you would like the part numbers of these then let me know.

I have a bayleaf green Ocean and ordered the chrome pack which includes the black B pillars. Was almost a no brainer to then get a chrome bumper protector to match.

We have the same colour spec with chrome. I had the dealer add a bumper protector before we collected tge van, and they put a black plastic one on. It doesn’t look that noticeable in fairness, but it is gradually going greyer with UV exposure. I think we might take it off and fit a chrome or stainless type. It has saved countless loading scrapes though!

Just use some Black Trim Polish.

Yes please!

Be aware that fitting stick on items is best done in Summer temperatures.
I ignored temp fitting range by a little range and regretted it.

This is a good video of how to apply a rear bumper protector.

Yes that’s rigid plastic so is relatively straight forward. I was referring to the decals on the door and body. Much easier for it to go wrong with air bubbles and not being perfectly straight etc

I went for the black one from VW.
I also have the sport pack which comes with the B pillar black decal/wrap

I think the black plastic one looks spot on , and contrast looks good as well as against darker ones ..Im getting Starlight blue Met and wil probably do the same

There is a black grille being sold on the forum here. Did you install it yourself? Is it easy? (thinking about it!)

I got mine fitted by Bognor Motors when I had coilovers fitted. Decided I didn’t want the hassle of doing it myself.
I watched a You Tube video by Transporter HQ (I think) showing how to do it. You could watch that and then decide what to do.
