Can anyone confirm that while on mains hook up, that the charging system will charge both leisure batteries and the vehicle battery.

Think it depends on the year of your Cali.

What about early -2006 without diesel particular filter (AXE)...?

I have converted my driving heater (Webasto Termo Top C) to a parking heater which I use frequently.
Which battery will be affected?
The starter battery or the two leisure batteries..?
When on hook up, will all 3 batteries be charged?
Should I charge my starter battery with a separate external charger..?

Get a cheap voltmeter and connect it to the starter battery. Check the voltage and then plug in your hookup. If the starter battery is charging it should show a slight increase in the voltage.

Similarly with your heater. Voltage should drop slightly when you turn it on.

Webasto works off Starter battery unless it has been rewired. the Webasto is standard on many commercial T5 vans.
