Cali exclusive shower tap?

Has anyone swapped the main sink tap for the shower extension tap on the normal California? Just wondering if it fits with the excess hose.

Pretty sure mine had this fitted.
The hose just coiled up and sits on the shelf inside the unit.
I was never sure if it was supposed to slip down behind the unit or inside?
