Cali rival to be made

As an aside, how can anyone select, pay for and drive a vehicle called a Nugget? :rofl

What is wrong with these people?

also saw the Caddy Camper..
called The Tramper
going to be renamed when it comes here!!!!!!
Since 2007 VW have gone for the heritage angle BIG time in sales campaigns..the Cali brochures gloss over fact....even the recent UK ad for working Commercial buses had the nostalgia / heritage angle leading it incl Beach Boys God Only Knows (what I'd be withoiut you) soundtrack and opening with a VW Westfalia Camper! (which they own.)

Are they going to bring the Tramper to the UK. Danbury offer a UK conversion for Caddys which is a bit similar.

Tramper impressive - but would be around 30k in the UK, and that starts to impact the Cali range. But you never know, there are some good Youtube videos of the Tramper and how it coverts.

You can't blame VW for using Camper heritage to sell vehicles, they are a business after all. Porsche, BMW, Mercedes, Rolls Royce, they all tap into their respective heritage, real or not. Look at the new Mini, that's built out of an image and heritage. The rise of the Mini has caused many car makers to tap into vehicles that are seen as great, Fiat 500 anyone? This trend of is only being echoed by VW who were part of it with 'old new' Beetle.

In this sense VW in the early 2000's decided that heritage was the way forward, Beetle, Camper Van, then the new Golf GTi with 70's retro style seats.

Can't blame them :)

VW are currently looking at having a RHD version of Tramper over here..but VW UK want a diff name ...
can see its appeal its a clever bit of kit inside...

The Tramper is impressive. Going to clash with the Beaxh in terms of pricing unless it sits just under and I guess the two are not comparable as vehicles.
