California SE 2015 Head Unit Bluetooth

Hi all, I have a VW California SE 2014 with a standard RCD310 head unit which displays rear parking sensors, climate control etc. However, although Im able to select bluetooth on the head unit and switch it on, no devices are discovered? Would Bluetooth be standard or would've this been an added extra?

Any advice appreciated.

Does your BT device / phone detect the head unit? pin is usually 0000

BT module is hidden under the glovebox behind the trim, if your head unit displays the option then looks like you have it.

Hi, thanks for the response. No nothing comes up, I have checked behind the glovebox and cant see anything obvious. Would be a spare that can be added?
