Found this under the bonnet...in the "gutter" under the windscreen....looks like rubbish, but just wanted to check before I bin it....

I save all things that I found in my van. Sometimes the mysteri unfolds and you need the little bugger...

That looks like the cover for the wiper post that gets removed when the wipers are fitted during pdi.

Something like that needs to be kept incase you want to use it as a cable shroud for that job you don't know you will have to do in the future. My shed is full of useful bits like that...
