Charging of Leisure Battery

Hi
2006 California
My rear leisure battery does not appear to be receiving a charge from the van whilst the engine is running. I have put a volt meter across the terminals and it shows that the battery is receiving power from the van but it seems unable to store it. When plugged into the mains the battery will charge up and run the lights and fridge etc. Do you think there is a fault with the charger (zig), a fault with the battery, the original 7 year old Varta or should I be looking else where? Any ideas gratefully received.

Get the battery checked out at a garage. In my experience they do start to die at 6 years old.

Sounds like the battery is on its way out. if its getting the 12v it needs then its almost certainly the issue.

They also need to be charged from mains once a month to keep them working properly as stated in the manual
