Choosing a T5

Saw two great T5s today (pre facelift) and trying to make a decision.

The first van had untinted double glazing, the other appeared to be single glazed but had privacy glass.

I've seen others on here have had their double glazing tinted, so assume that would be possible with the first van.

I think I'd prefer double glazing for better insulation, but does it really make that much difference?

Any advice much appreciated.

Are they both full blown Californias ?
I didn't know they did single glass in california spec.
I´d go for the double glazing and get them tinted.

Yep, both full fat SEs.

I might be wrong about the tinted one; it might be double glazed too...

I think only the T5 Comfortline has double glazing! All Beach Calis come with single glass even with privacy glass

Only some of the widows are double glazed i.e. rear window, fixed rear side windows not sliding windows or cab. Privacy film/tint can always be applied so not a problem if it doesn't have privacy glass.

What year are they ? How much and what power do they have. And colour?

Both 2.5 174, one grey 2006/7, one 2008. Both lovely vans I thought. Tough choice. But a good problem to have!

Don´t be put off with the non tinted windows.
You´re gonna be throwing more money into it once you´ve bought it so
window tinting is a minor detail.

Just wondering if the other one is double glazed too though.

You´ll have to go back and do the everest test with a feather and a big fan.
