Cleaning of cooker/sink area

Some random staining has occurred throughout the area surrounding both burners and wont shift with washing up liquid - can anyone recommend any particular product ? I don't have any idea what may have caused it. I can live with it and am not a OCD cleaner but would like to get it back to the original finish if at all possible.

Thanks Andy, unfortunately I tried that ( Cif stainless steel cleaner ) but it hasn't made any difference. Thanks all the same and its not wasted as can be used elsewhere. A bit of a mystery, hope it doesn't happen to others.

Agree with this mine is the same, nothing to worry about, it shows that it has been used rather than a pristine unused condition.

Thanks for the replies. I just accept my stain less steel is now stained. In fact the more usage knocks and wear and tear the more relaxed and more I enjoy the Cali as it ages
