Coffemaker in the car

I have been looking on the Internet for a gooseneck kettle. I found some clearance stock locally, so thought I would give it a go for the next trip. The spout does look a bit vulnerable though. Will have to ditch the camping kettle and find a safe place for it. Cali cupboard Tetris again!
If I go with an induction hob it might not work though being stainless.

We have a similar kettle, but with a thermometer, for the van. Perfect for v60, still compact and tastes way better than a collapsible silicone kettle. Not had any worries with the spout at all.

I have a 12v Kettle, and a jar of instant, the engine needs to be running so as not to flatten the battery.

I have seen a 12v Filter Machine. Road King is a good source if you are a trucker

You posted about coffee at 05.18am. Drink less coffee and get a good nights sleep.

I used to gloat with my wife about how much we were saving not having to buy some godawful coffee in the services on the road or some UHT dark roast muck on the continent, as we sipped our single estate origin Aeropress coffees.

Then I calculated the cost per cup on the depreciation of the EF Delta, solar panels, folding kettle etc etc...

I could have probably bought a Costa franchise with the money and had a second career...

See Aldi have a version of the manual espresso machine at the moment:
(Its not a personal recommendation as I have never used this style of coffee maker.)
My default camping (and when kayaking) is an Aeropress Go. + a small hand grinder for the beans.

My brother has one of these Atomic coffee machines :

Similar principles as a Moka pot plus a steam wand for milk frothing. Never used it in the Cali and his is in need of some servicing to the seals and fill thread.

Running a 2 liter diesel engine to make a cup of instant coffee :Grin I can’t even tell if you’re trolling or not.
The 5 litre V8 runs lots of other things so boiling the kettle during a mandatory rest stop is nothing new, its not my fuel!
