We try to use the most compact things in the Cali we can so as to limit the need to move stuff to get to stuff. It also means we have the space left to take our two Brompton folding bikes with us, these go in the front footwells when we park up.
We began using hiking "mummy" style sleeping bags as these can be crammed into stuff sacks, together with camping pillows with their stuff sacks. We had been looking round for an alternative that better suited us for a couple of years but really struggled to find Cali compatible blankets/ quilts. we have now found a better way - Decathlon blankets and two regular cotton sheets, plus two normal feather pillows (pillows are very inefficient in terms of space but the most comfortable).
Decathlon sells the QUECHUA Fleece blanket for £10, we have 4 but have never used more than three. This means we can regulate their warmth very easily
Weight 450 g.
Dimensions 190 x 165 cm (Cali beds are 200 by 120)
Colours Grey, blue and pink

In our opinion these are a very good match for the Cali and come at a sensible price. Are very soft on the skin so no scratching (unlike wool). Light and thin relative to how warm they are, so they fold down very small and are ideal for cramming into the odd shaped gaps in the cupboards that Cali use creates . Very flexible as you can use as many or as few as you want depending on prevailing temperature, whether you are using a bellows cover etc. The grey colour is even sympathetic to the Cali's colour scheme.
