Control panel - Intermittently beeping

Hi. Our Cali is 5 years old, T5 SE 5.1. Recently the control panel has started to randomly beep (same beep as when elevating the roof). Pressing the control button stops the beeping. Is this the control panel starting to die? Can anyone advise?

Have you checked the VW Control Panel Diagnostic menu for any codes?

Check Control Panel Diagnostics.

Control Panel Off and wait 30 secs

Control Panel On

Press and Hold R lower button and then press Control Knob for 5 secs.

New Hidden Menu . Scroll to VW Diagnostics.

If there are any codes shown, take note and then Reset/Clear.

Return to Main Menu.

Switch Off Control Panel using L lower button. Wait 30 secs and Switch On.

Try Roof/Heater or Fridge

Thanks to you both. I went through the process as suggested by WG, the panel highlighted “No errors”. It has only happened twice and everything still works ok; therefore, I will sit tight and see if it happens again? Thanks for your help

Any problems since? Mine just randomly did this. No errrors. Had a couple of intermittent electrical issues which have not persisted in recent times. Thanks.

Hi, since I asked for advice, we had no further issues. We have sold the Cali and now have a Grand Cali.
