Controlling volume on Google Maps

Does anyone know how I control the volume of route guidance for Google Maps on Android Auto as it is either too quiet or too loud. This also happens when using Waze

Not sure as it seems fine on mine. Have you tried either adjusting the volume buttons on your phone or the media volume setting?

Not tried this as mine has been fine but they sometime have a separate volume for certain elements.....wait till its start to give a guidance message and adjust via the standard control.

If it’s the same as Apple CarPlay, you have to be quick and set it using the usual volume control while it is actually speaking.
