Dashboard question?

i want to install an extra switch on the Dashboard, hopefully without drilling it. I was looking at the Blanked off Switches.

How do you remove the Blank?

Does anyone know the VW Part number for the Switch Blanks?

I don't know for sure but would have thought that if you remove the trim that surrounds the head unite, air vents etc., this should get you access to the blanks?
To remove you need to prize off the tray on top of the dash and then remove the retaining screws. The trim can then be gently released from its retaining clips. An old credit card works well.

Not done it with the T5, but usually these just pull out, either get a trim tool behind one, or a finger nail.

Part number will then be on the back, though think they are sided for the T5 (as in different right / left)

However, if, like me, you've been to this forum before it may say you've exceeded your visits without registering. It must know this from a previous cookie, so I just opened a private browser window and got round it that way.
