The inspect service warning keeps coming up on my Cali. It seems to have happened after I got an MOT done by my local VW Van specialist.
It’s on a 2 yr service interval and a service is not due for 12 months.
Can I reset it or do I have to return it to the dealers?

The following will reset the service reminder to fixed intervals at 15000km. Do this every time you replace the oil. I also keep a small Dymo label next to the odometer with the date and km at last oil change. Old labels are moved to the sun blocker. I have more then 10 stickers there now. I change oil in average every 12500 km. Cost me 90 euros...

Service Reminder Reset
Press and hold the mileage reset button and turn the ignition 2 clicks (but don´t start). Release the mileage trip button, and turn the clock button clockwise = which should reset the ”service indicator”.

Hmm, I guess this still works on your T5 (as in my previous Golf 4), but we (T5.1 owners) don't have the clock button (stick) to turn right.

Same happened to me last week. Trip to dealers who reset in couple of minutes and left the other service countdown as it was. No charge as the inspection service warning should have been reset at last service so you only have to follow one service regime.

It seems to be a common issue with dealers resetting this incorrectly.

Alfie is being taken to the Doctors on Wednesday, two of his 12v sockets are kaput, and is also having his service indicator reset after the inspection interval distance was entered as k's rather than miles :D

Good luck ;)

It was taken down as it was considered an advertisement. I wasn’t advertising it I was merely looking to see what the vehicle might be worth when I come to sell it In about March.
If not this forum where could I get some idea of value?
Certainly not a dealer who’d want to give you lowest price and then make a killing on it!

If its not allowed here then maybe send a private message
to @2into1 he always has a good idea of the prices.

Always willing to share an opinion (as many may have noticed ;)). Market is a bit bonkers as the models transition, but should settle soon.

I understand the forums point of view. Less scrupulous people might use the “what price should I ask?” post as a way of circumventing the “For Sale” advertising charge.
Best way of getting a value is to look at this and other places where Californias are on sale and see what the going rate is.
