Deposit Paid, Pick up Saturday!

Hi all, we’re Steve, Jess and two kids Flynn 5 and Evie 2 just about to embark on our first California adventure by picking up our new Beach on Saturday after agreeing a private sale this week. I’m sure we’ll be making good use of this club and especially the forums for useful tips and advice!

We will be in the market for a set of waterproof seat covers (ideally second hand) for a 3 seat bench T6 Beach if anyone has any lying around they want to sell! PM me with details!

On that I’ve been looking at the accessories for sale adverts in the forum but can’t currently respond to any and there are a couple of bits that I’d be interested in. I’m sure it’s just a noob thing and there’s a simple reason why!

Ah, that makes sense! Thanks for the replies! I’ve spent a happy few hours browsing the forums and there certainly is a lot of content!

We did our first trip away in it this week to the Lakes…even though we didn’t sleep in her she’s definitely shown her versatility as a vehicle.


Photo here! I wasn’t convinced on the two tone look originally but it was the right price and it’s definitely growing on me!

I think I’ll bite the bullet and get the VIP membership as there are a few things on the forum I’d like to contribute to.

A few q’s in the mean time…

There’s a bit of a knock from the front drivers side suspension…I suspect ARB bushings or drop link…is there anything else that is a regular issue? I bought the van from deepest darkest south wales where the roads were less than pristine so it’s probably had a hard life in that respect! At some point I’ll be adding some 18s and lowering to improve the ride a bit, if it is the ARB bushings is it worth upgrading to the thicker H&R front whilst the knock is being sorted? Anyway it’s in to the local stealer-ship to get it looked at mid May (earliest they could do) as it’s still under extended all in warranty. If they fail to diagnose (entirely possible) is anyone aware of any good independent specialists in the Bristol area that could help?

Secondly, I’m keen to get some wind deflectors, Dubflectors seem to be a good option as no drilling etc but I can’t for the life of me find where to actually buy them ‍.

I’m sure three will be loads of other Qs once we get going a bit more!

Recommend fitting uprated ARB front / rear, will transform the handling. Then probably no need to lower.

Any decent garage can do ARB /suspension etc, and most probably would be able to do it next week rather than next month.

We had the same suspension knocking issue on our 2021 Coast. It was the bottom ball joint of the drop link. Should have been an easy fix, but removing the old drop link was extremely difficult as the bolt had rusted on. Ended up cutting off and pushed bolt out with ball joint splitter.
Parts were approx £50. If had to do again, would get a price from garage to fix. If doing yourself, allow plenty of time.
Search T6 forum, as they have more detail for technical fixes.
