Direct TPMS Wheel Swap

I have direct TPMS but plan to use different alloys with winter tyres this winter. Does anyone know how the TPMS system will behave if all 4 wheels don’t have sensors in? I guess it’ll behave in the same way as if a spare is fitted. Anyone know what it does in this situation? Thanks.

You could by a new set of sensors perhaps.

Ah that’s a good idea. Do they need to be coded to the van are it swapping over wheels with different sensors in going to work ok?

I believe they’re a fit and forget for the van, the vehicle will sense which is which, they were on my Cupra, no coding required

If they work like my BMW TPMS sensors, the guy in the tyre fitting place cloned the sensors onto the winter wheel sensors.
