Door locking

Hi what is the best way to lock the doors on my 2017 California when we are in bed for the night. I have an interior alarm and don’t want to set it off

Best to press button on drivers door to lock. Using key will enable deadlocks. In an emergency don’t think you can get out without using the key to unlock which isn’t ideal.

As above, the button on the drivers door, using the fob even with double press (deadlocks off) can lead to you accidentally locking yourself out.
