DSC Error

My T6 (2016) has developed an intermittent DSC error. It tends to occur when slowing - for example at a roundabout. The error appears on the dash and the vehicle loses power. It’s like it has stuck in neutral. It clears by turning the engine off and on again but clearly that could be dangerous in some circumstances.

I have a Carista plug so have run a diagnostic - it returns an error U103- Lost Communication with gear shift control - Module A. Which seems to align with the vehicle being stuck in neutral.

Has anyone experienced anything similar? My local garage says they can’t fix it and I should take it to a main dealer - who has quoted £160 for a diagnostic!! Presumably to tell me what I already know. Does anyone knowing a specialist independent within reach of Bristol, Gloucester, Hereford who might be able to investigate and fix this at a more reasonable cost. I really don’t trust main dealers but we have only just moved to this area so I haven’t found anyone else yet. TIA

I have had this issue for some time and it is now getting worse. 2016 2.0 T6 DSG (7speed). while driving the gearbox drops out of gear and the gear flashes on the MFD. flick to manual and back again and generally this cures the problem, but orange warning light on the dash for the next few...
