Hi
Replaced my rear egr pipe last year. I believe torque’s were 20nm. It wasn’t the easiest job.
Good luck

Well that wasn’t a five minute job ! 73 k not sure how long it’s been cracked, passed its mot a couple of weeks back but only just noticed a film of smoke coating everything under the bonnet, although there has been the occasional smell in the cab. For information £160 for the parts not including a skin graft …

Just had to replace the front EGR pipe, easier than the rear and considerably cheaper. The flange parted company with the pipe on the M1 last Saturday, loss of power, and glow plug light flashing, got vag com on it once home only error was an air leak, hadn’t noticed the pipe in two pieces until I got my wife to rev the engine. Part sourced yesterday Derby van centre had one on the shelf, fitted ok van did a regen without having to force it all ok, result. 73k on the clock.5011B137-1991-44F4-96A4-EA62FF95DAA6.jpeg

Could you post the part number of the pipe and gaskets please? We had our rear one go whilst on the way to France and there were several revisions to the part (and part numbers), we haven't had the front go yet.... but sounds like I should change it and avoid having it fail at the most inconvenient time possible - Many Thanks A
