Cracked EGR Pipe

Listers by any chance ? All sounds very familiar- basically the dealers can do work without authority but they risk the claim being declined by VW finance (All in provider), so basically they won’t budge without pre-approval, even if they have had the same repair approved previously for another customer.
Not the Same dealer, but the same VW BS.

VW could quite easily pre approve certain repairs to known faulty parts, particularly as they will have world wide failure figures for particular parts and let’s face it the part is cheap to make by the Million.

VW just choose to make it a laborious task for the customer and Dealer alike.
Dealers under the threat they won’t get paid , customers between a rock and a hard place.

I will have spent the best part of a day in the dealers waiting for what could have been replaced in an Hour !

No wonder Dealers charge £200 an hour Labour !

Maybe VW should consider how much the customer looses whilst dealing with the BS of VW systems, waiting for approval to fix known faulty parts.

Shame on VW, I think they could do better, but won’t
