Electric hook up in France

Hi guys,
Is the electric hook up in France the same as the UK. Or, do I need an adapter please. Also on a separate note. How long does a gas bottle last? Any ideas

Adapters are small and easy to store. best take one. I have used them in France, and Scandinavia. Just back from 3 weeks in Scandinavia, cooked almost every night, used hook up for kettle/toaster in the moning and site facilities where avilable, although they only seem to be available in Scandianvian countries, which is a pity.
