Electrical Socket pushed out of place

Whilst on holiday this year my wife managed to push the electrical socket on the pillar behind the drivers seat back into the pillar. It seems as if it has detached and fallen into the pillar. Does anyone have any experience trying to get at this item to fix it ? - can it be done without major work ?

I take it you mean the inverter socket sometimes it will push back the socket plate is glued on
You can gently prize it off then retrieve the centre part that has gone missing and then stick it back on not too much of a job

Thanks calikev - all fixed now. The socket plate actually had 4 lugs (one on each corner) which I cut away with a razor one at a time, rehoused the cabling etc and then glued it back in place.
