Hi Martin. Did Carr’s complete this fix for you to your satisfaction? I’m having problems with the roof but the sensors actually look fine when checking them - can they look ok but be broken?
I took mine to Sinclair Swansea who said they have never repaired one before but were willing to take my van for the day to investigate at £95 + VAT per hour. So they could take 5 hours at £600 to tell me it’s not working before they start repair! They did say they probably would pass it on to Sinclair Cardiff to repair.
I’m not feeling that confident.

We bought our Van from Sinclairs Cardiff, what a bunch of idiots. They didn’t even know the roof was made from Aluminium.. There is a place just down the road From Sinclairs Gorseinon who sell a lot of campers. It might be worth going to have a word with them to see if they can help. I will have a look at it for £115 an hour for 5 hours and tell you I haven’t got a clue.

That’s my fear. Clueless.
I’d pay for a dealer who know what their doing, but got sensors now so may just give it a crack myself. If I mess up a dealer can fit a new loom - which is what they will do anyway.
It’s sad that we cannot trust a dealer to do a job!

The main reason I did it myself was because I didn’t trust a dealer to do it properly. I still don’t know any dealer near me that I trust with camper side stuff. Fortunately I have a great VW specialist to do the mechanicals.
