European telephone cards

Hi all

I'm off to France and Spain next Tuesday, ferry booked, hopefully for 5/6weeks if I can stand my own company for that long- could anyone advise on the purchase of telephone cards, never used one before, sure they must be cheaper then pay as you go mobiles, if purchased in France where do you get them and can they be used in Spain as well or do you have to buy another in each country? have you found them worth while.

Kevin, Do you mean Euro SIM Cards or calling cards ? Is it for just voice or voice & data ?

just voice, so a calling card, I'll have my notebook with me, so be able to skype, used my mobile over a three week period recently in France and it cost me an arm and a leg and I was reasonably careful, staying for five weeks plus this time.
