Hello all.

Heading off to France on Wednesday's 4pm eurotunnel. Bit worried about the build up and queues.

Anyone there now/gone through recently? Any advice gratefully recieved.

Any difference in queue times at different times of the day? Any tricky routes to cut the wait? They say cars with roofboxes are suffering. Are vw Californias in the same high vehicle queues?

If you are booked correctly regarding vehicle type, ie Campervan, then you'll be with the motorhomes .

We got to Folkestone check in around 7am today (Monday) parked up at the terminal 15 mins later. Train booked for 9:20. Terminal very busy. Trains slightly delayed. We’ve just set off at 9:50

We weren’t offered an earlier train.

Border control took 10 mins.

All in all, a much better experience than what’s been reported the last few days.

News reports are saying things are worse at the weekends. So weekday departures should be less hassle.
