Extended Warrenty - Roof issues

Hi

anyone have any tips on using an extended warranty for a roof corrosion issue? Our 2012 was called back and repaired in 2018 then given and extended warrenty for 6 years. I’ve posted previously so won’t go into it again but clearly it was a botched job, We’ve been going through the process and apart from VW commercial being shockingly awful with customer service they are now saying they won’t help at all.

Is there anything under consumer rights with regards to repairs that arnt fixed properly?

What were the terms of the extended 6 year warranty

you could go down the route of getting a quote, provide the quote to VW and if they refuse the remedial works threaten small claims

a 6 warranty implies the work should be to a high standard and mast in excess of 6 years, or be fixed whilst within the warranty period FOC !

I am wondering if anyone has written proof of VW extending the warranty to 6 years on the roof corrosion recalls?..
