Hi there,

We pick up the van Tuesday 22nd and no way are we going to get away with not taking the kids camping on the 25/26 November, just for one night.

We will have nothing in the van just lots of warm bedding

Any recommendations for a place to go near SW London, new forest, could be possible... hopefully a site for something to eat etc. kids are 6 and 9.

Or maybe we just to driveway camping to make it easier :)

Or any events we happening where van support could be present.

Many thanks

California Park near Wokingham. Cafe and playground in the park next to the site. 15 minute drive to Coral Reef (waterpark) if the weather is poor.

Setthorns is great and one of our favourite sites but if this is a first trip and you want the New Forest, I suggest Black Knowl. Setthorns has zero facilities, so you must have your own loo.
Although Black Knowl is less “wild” you do have some facilities and an easy walk into Brockenhurst. Downside is it will cost twice as much!
Hollands Wood also great - bit of a hybrid - no pitches, camp where you like, but good showers and access to the forest.
One for next year though, closes in September

Thanks all looks like some good options even for next year.

(Not New Forest, but maybe a shorter drive)

This place is always very popular with families (but not the cheapest):

Below has loads of nice walks / pubs nearby:

Walking distance to the Beach, village with decent cafes & pubs:
