Hi all

I have water leaking from the outlet of the fresh water tank when the valve is fully closed. The rubber seal is not doing its job and my tank is drained within a couple of hours. Have tried retightening the valve lever next to the tank, but no joy.

I have read through the many threads on this problem, but I cannot see any actual information on how to get to the rubber seal itself to check its condition. If I remove the protective pan underneath the van, can someone tell me if this gives me access to the outlet seal? Otherwise to repair this properly, I guess I will need to remove the built in units to get to the tank itself.

Thanks for any advice. And if anyone can recommend a specialist in the west Dorset area, this would be very good to know.

I'm not sure there is a seal, I think it's a ball valve. So requires the hole in the ball to be turned until it not inline. These can leak but I would try to be sure first if the handle at the top is definitely closing the valve properly. It's attached to a long shaft on the valve. My one leaked a little, I repositioned the handle and then did the nut up tight to get more rotation.

Hi, take a look at post #3 from @WelshGas. There’s an exploded diagram of the system that might help you.

So knowing it is a ball valve would certainly suggest I am not getting enough rotation on the hand lever, so I'll go back and try adjusting that again. Thanks for the pointers.
