Been in Lake District since boxing day morning, auxiliary heater has been on 4 or 5 during daytime and left on 1 or 2 overnight. No other heat source. Tank was brimmed before parkjng up, just refilled and after accounting for 106miles driving at 37mpg the heater has used 8.6litres over 6 days.

Sounds about right. Left the parking heater on for over 10 days during the super cold spell and I suspect the parking heater consumed about 8 to 9 l.
