Looks like this spring needs pushing UP. Looks like it’s fouling the black plastic instead of residing in the cutout when closed.Noticed while filling up that fuel flap not quite sitting flush as shown in picture below. I've also posted a picture of the flap open in case anyone can point out to me what is wrong!

That would be great thanks!!! You can point out what the spigot is tooWe had the same issue on our Ocean. I used some heat shrink tubing around the spigot pin, then a small strip of self adhesive foam rubber placed on the inside of the flap to coincide with the spigot. Is a perfect fit now, plus the foam means that the flap does not make a noise when closed now.
I can take a photo tomorrow if it will help explain what I have done.
Same happened to me. Just a bit of lubrication was required.Mine went a bit like that and only needed the hinges giving a WD40 spray. Spring action couldn't overcome the resistance to close.
Might not be your issue.
Thanks, will check that as well!Mine went a bit like that and only needed the hinges giving a WD40 spray. Spring action couldn't overcome the resistance to close.

is that the semi circular bit it sits in? I tried WD40 on the hinges but that didn't make any differenceDoesn't the stop bump-stop need to be screwed in a bit? It looks a bit too proud to me.

That's exactly what I did on my old 2008 Cali - many years ago. Velcro is a treasure - I also used it to temporarily repair (on the inside, of course) the sliding doors on the "wardrobe" inside. Also bound round the pins on the sliding shelf in the boot, which got a bit rattly.I've used a small strip of adhesive velcro strip mines now flush when closed.
Daft question maybe, but are you sure that your AdBlue and/or Fuel cap is fully ‘home’? If not that might stop the flap fully closing.Noticed while filling up that fuel flap not quite sitting flush as shown in picture below. Is it possible the flap has been opened and bent the hinge slightly by over extending it? If so a bit of careful bending in the closed direction might sort it? Its only about 2-3mm out by the look of it so could just need a little gentle ‘persuasion’.is that the semi circular bit it sits in? I tried WD40 on the hinges but that didn't make any difference
This is also a good shout!Daft question maybe, but are you sure that your AdBlue and/or Fuel cap is fully ‘home’? If not that might stop the flap fully closing.
I am looking at the button with the slot in the front at the top left above the filler.is that the semi circular bit it sits in? I tried WD40 on the hinges but that didn't make any difference
