Gap behind the awning

We are using a drive away awning attached to the roll out awning, using the usual figure of 8 strips clipped to the top edge. The other night we had to park up with the front of the van slightly lower than the rear, all the water that ran down behind the awning collected on the seal between the van and the awning & then ran forward to the front & escaped down the side of the van into our awning by the B pillar.

Looking at the way the awning is fitted, there is a seal that goes between the brackets but there is nothing at the front end between the front bracket and the front end of the awning. Is there a length of seal available that fits this space?
There isn't a problem at the back end as the bracket is right at the end of the awning.

Just had a look at that now, couldn't see that well because it's dark at the moment. It looks to me like the seal that's there probably runs all the way when the awning is supplied but has been cut away when fitted to the Cali, the excess bit is probably thrown in the bin!

Might be worth asking the dealer if there are any spare bits in the workshop to fill in the gap, or maybe Fiamma dealers would have some. As a temporary measure, you could maybe squeeze some suitably size rubber hosepipe in there, or maybe pipe lagging or similar, when you are camped up and remove it when leaving site.
