I have heard that a GC fridge door handle can suddenly become inoperative, because a bolt winds out and drops off.
I cannot find a discussion of this in this forum.
Can anyone clarify the problem and tell me the cure?
Thanks all!

It was an issue with earlier GCs. There is a small nut on the mechanism that can work loose and render the opening system unusable. To then open the door which is necessary to fix the issue the main drawer needs to be removed (it unclips) and the facia panel above the fridge removed (torx screws) which allows access to the top of the fridge door. On top of the door there are two plastic covers, remove those and unscrew the retaining screws to allow access to the mechanism to release. For preventing the issue the nut in question needs some toctite applied which can be done by removing the fridge door fascia. I think there is a video on the grandcali.com site somewhere with all the details.
