GC600 leak underneath the shower

Hello everyone,

I have a leak under the shower in my GC600. I noticed water coming out from around the rubber seal over the tailgate after the shower was used last weekend.

I went through each of the drains and could see water appear under the floor through the under sink cupboard in the bathroom when the drain closest to it was used. Looks like the large black piece of plastic that the plug screws into has cracked.

My van is into the local VW dealer (I'm in Germany at the moment) tomorrow. I'm hoping it will be taken care of under warranty - to aid that conversation I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem?

Is it definitely leaking from under the shower? I (like others) had a leak from where the hot and cold feeds join the shower. If you open the cupboard below the sink and out your hand up following the shower hose to see if it is wet…..

Thanks, i ran each tap into a bucket first to check, I've had a cracked tap in the shower room before but this time the shower hose and the hot and cold fresh water pipes were dry

Hi again everyone. I have a leak around the sink tap/shower in the shower room of my GC600. I have also noticed a small collection of water on the floor. (I first noticed when I turned the tap on in the sink, water was spouting out of the back of the handset. I discovered a crack). I have found this once before and had it repaired whilst under vw extended warranty. I have the same problem again, but the warranty has expired. Can you advise me please. Much appreciated...

Many thanks for the link to Amazon. Unfortunately it appears that this is unavailable in the UK. I wonder if I attempted to tighten the fitting to the basin whether this would resolve the leak? Thanks again for your reply.

We had this issue and it was due to the hose not being tightened onto the shower head properly. Have noticed that it comes loose over time.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I don't feel that this is something which I could resolve myself due to poor access. I have, therefore, arranged to take the van into the local vw dealership.

Although, I may have an attempt. It is enclosed by a plastic shroud.
